Cubs and Beavers Go Wild @ Longleat

Longleat

On the morning of the 26th June 2010 12 Cubs, 10 Beavers, 4 Laders and 2 Parents boarded one of five coaches leaving Basingstoke East District to join about 4500 Cubs, Beavers and Adults for Hampshire County's Cubs and Beavers Go Wild Day @ Longleat.

On arrival at Longleat for the first thing we did was a drive through the Safari Park, where we saw Gifrafes, Zebras (including a 12 day old baby Zebra), Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Rhinos and manu other wild animals. After this we all got off the coaches in the coach park and headed round to our base for the day and had lunch.

We then went for a ride on the Longleat Train, visted Old Joes mine and saw the fruit bats hanging from the roof, visted the Animal Adventure and saw all sorts of creepy crawlies and the multi coloured Parrots waiting to put on their next show. The brave one's amongest us then got lost in the maze, but then found our way out again

We finally arrived back in Basingstoke at 18:30 and a great day was had by all
